New Cellulose Blown Into Large Attic in Castalia, OH
Challenge
This customer had a large attic, with a whopping 2,480 square footage measurement. The large attic space, along with settled and clumpy cellulose, was a harmful combination. This mix was causing their whole home to lose heat and create fluctuating temperatures. The homeowner's found that Primary Home Improvements was their local, trusted insulation expert and they were scheduled for a free in-home estimate to discuss solutions to their insulation problem.
Solution
Bert, the energy consultant, arrived to the estimate and climbed up into the attic. He noticed the clumpy and worn down cellulose. This cellulose was original to the 1967 home, so Bert advised that new, denser cellulose be blown on top of the old insulation. After thoroughly explaining the product and process, the customer's were signed up for a project date!
On the day of the project, the attic crew arrived to get started on insulating this large attic. They started by cleaning up any old insulation and then feeding their machine the new cellulose. This machine works to shred the cellulose into pieces so that it can densely cover the attic floor. Tru-Soft cellulose is fire resistant, environmentally friendly and has high R-Value qualities in order to protect the home from outside air. Installers make sure to blow an even R49 value to this 2,480 square foot attic. Once done, the attic crew made sure to do a final walkthrough with the customer and show them the work they did. This happy customer was so excited to have an adequately insulated attic!
