Extraction and New Fiberglass Installed in Sandusky, OH
Challenge
This customer called into Primary Home Improvements to receive expert advice on insulating his attic. He mentioned that they had previous animal issues in the space. Animals don't discriminate when it comes to finding food and shelter, so this house fell victim to animal infiltration. The attic insulation was now not only unsanitary from the animals, but the previous fiberglass had settled in some areas because of the little critters. This left the customer with very uneven R-Value in his attic space. Insufficient attic insulation can cause polarizing temperatures throughout the house and can cause an increase in energy costs!
Solution
Our expert installers started the day out by completely extracting the old, dirty insulation. A high-powered machine sucked out all of the animal feces, dirt and aged fiberglass. Once cleared, the installers then blew-in the high quality product all over the attic until it reached R-49 in all areas. The consistent insulation coverage will help the attic regulate temperatures by keeping the home from getting too hot or too cold. This customer can now enjoy a more comfortable home!
